  3.    Have Fun With Chinese Characters!

  5.    We are providing some Chinese characters from our high quality fonts for
  6.    your fun. CH_K.PFB contains  94 modern (or simplified,'short') Chinese 
  7.    characters in Kaishu style (the printed style that is closest to brush 
  8.    writing) from our OUTLINE fonts. If you are Chinese or like to add an 
  9.    exotic touch to your greeting cards, invitations, titles etc., you'll 
  10.    find them pleasant and useful.

  12.    WHO ARE WE

  14.    -- SPRING SYSTEM, Germany and OMNIGENA Co, Taiwan, a joint venture for
  15.       Chinese software development, are now designing a series of
  16.       intelligent Chinese software suitable not only for native speakers
  17.       or users of Chinese, but even for beginner learners of the language.
  18.  
  19.    -- Our SPRING TEXTSYSTEM 2.3 (available since Dec 1990) is a Chinese word
  20.       processor that is based on keyboard sound input, and you only need to
  21.       type in the accurate sound, in Pinyin or Zhuyin of Chinese compounds
  22.       (less the tones) to have the characters generated by the system.

  25.    -- We are also completing our outline fonts project, to provide the
  26.       highest quality fonts available on the market. Our complete set
  27.       of fonts include both the Jiantizi ('modern', 'simplified', or 'short'
  28.       characters used in mainland China and Singapore) and Fantizi
  29.       ('classical', 'full', or 'long' characters used in Taiwan and
  30.       Hong Kong).

  64.    1. Hanzi-Kaishu public domain software and copyrighted by
  65.       SPRING System. That is to say, you are free to downlaod their contents
  66.       from the network, copy and distribute them. You can also apply them for
  67.       any non-commercial use. But you may not, without previous consent from
  68.       SPRING System, to include their contents in any commerical product or
  69.       commercial demo programs, electronic device or otherwise.

  71.    2. The format of the outline fonts is based on Postscript Level 2.0 and
  72.       Adobe Type 1 Font Format. We understand that Adobe has put in some new
  73.       commands in their latest versions to make the printing of oriental
  74.       charaters easier, these commands by themselves are nevertheless far
  75.       from sufficient to produce high-quality Chinese characters in print.
  76.       This makes it impossible for us to include all our design parameters
  77.       in the font in question. We also haven't included the Stem Hints
  78.       commands here, since the font provided is meant for large characters
  79.       only. Users should choose a size above 16 pt (180 dpi) or 14 pt
  80.       (300 dpi).
